Swept Path Analysis Module
The SITEOPS® Swept Path Analysis Module realistically simulates vehicle path movement throughout conceptual site designs and equips users with a fundamental function for determining the feasibility of a site design. Users can draw multiple vehicle locations and wheel paths within the site and view the swept path of the vehicle's movements.
The Swept Path Analysis Module incorporates a pre-populated library of vehicle templates including AASHTO 2004 (U.S.), CALTRANS 2008 (U.S.), ILDOT (U.S.), TAC (Canada), AUSTROADS (Australia) and NEW ZEALAND 2007. Furthermore, users have the ability to design custom vehicle templates, such as articulated semi-trucks or buses, which can be saved to a personalized, central database shared with other users in a firm or company. The module's output contains the center, wheel paths, swept path and vehicle images on separate layers and, as the standard in SITEOPS software, can be exported as DWG, Land XML and PDF formats allowing for easy importability into other leading CAD programs.
The Swept Path Analysis Module will replace many users' current turn template software while adding the powerful conceptual site layout tools and optimization that only SITEOPS provides. Conceived and created as a direct response to the needs of users, this module prepares users to provide clients with a feasible, vehicle-dependent layout that is both time and cost optimized. The Swept Path Analysis Module is available as a fully integrated add-on module to the SITEOPS software suite.
